Greetings to all my watchers!
I am terribly sorry for the lack of work lately...I moved to Fargo North Dakota and started work right away, which leaves me little time to do anything. On top of all that, I found myself homeless around Christmas time, and I had to pack ALL of my artwork supplies. I had unfinished drawings too :/ BUT...I recently found an apartment so hopefully I will be getting back into my artwork stuff as I find time.
Anyway, thank you for your patience with my lack of work! I hope to have SOMETHING going soon.
Oh, and I purchased my FIRST Baliro (finally). It's a Grullo colt that is homozygous for PEARL. EE aa DD PrlPrl. YAY!!!!!

Okay...Bragging Moment Here (So Sorry!)
Okay...first off I received the results for Masquerade's Kentucky Oaks, and I'm super pleased with her taking second. The constructive criticism for me was good (even though I take any kind of criticism horribly :( ) and I plan on using it to improve my art style in the future.
But that is not the reason for this journal. It concerns another horse. Well, two horses that is.
Day Oak Stud...the proud owner of their Kentucky Derby winner (what an accomplishment!). I am SO excited for Day Oak for their win, but this has a special place in my heart as well! Why?
Because their champ is the son of MY stallion, my baby boy that I bred YEARS ago

I've been thinking about this for a little while, and I decided to open this up to the public!
Life for me has gotten hectic and my desire to do art has waned a bit (as I've stated before). I have been wanting to give Abaddon's stud profile picture a do over, but I just don't have the will nor the energy to get it done.
So...I figured, why not open up a little contest and let someone draw or paint Abaddon's new profile picture! He is the face of Obsidian Farm and such a spectacular horse, and has proven himself to be the sire of champions (so far!)

Kentucky Oaks Update...Update!!
THEY ARE DONE. I am really proud of the Kentucky Oaks drawing. I worked HARD on it. I will upload it and the extra image soon. Just editing the pictures on my computer! :D
OH MY.
This is possibly the most ambitious project I have every done. Different angles, buildings, PEOPLE.
I am currently working like mad to get Mask's Kentucky Oaks entry finished before I start my SIX DAY LONG STREAK AT WORK. Which runs right through the deadline -_-
Uuuuuugh. I will HOPEFULLY have her last few images done by tomorrow and uploaded before the deadline. Be proud of me...I'm trying something new and so far its frustrating me LOL.
