Meet Obsidian Farm's first foal of the 2014 season...and this is perhaps the most special horse we have on the farm right now.

This baby a AI (artificial insemination) foal from a foreign stallion in Turkmenistan...currently the only dominant white Akhal Teke stallion known to exist. We prayed HARD that Smokey, the Teke mare we chose to inseminate, would produce the 2nd only dominant white Akhal Teke foal....dominant white genes are a mutation that occur randomly, but DW horses have a 50% chance of passing the gene to their offspring.

It looks like it paid off.
